Marin County Health & Human Services offers a number of financial counseling and assistance programs. A small sampling follows:
CalWORKs is a cash program which aids families with children who are deprived of parental support because of parental unemployment, absence or incapacity.
The Medi-Cal Program provides medical care for the aged, disabled, those under 21 years of age and the parents of children deprived of parental support due to absence, incapacity or unemployment.
The Food Stamps Program provides eligible applicants with food coupons that may be used in participating grocery stores to supplement your food purchases.
Marin Employment Connection offers a wide selection of training programs such as career counseling, preparing resumes, interview skills, and internet job search. Services are also available for older workers, professionals and people with disabilities. There is also a program of services for employers.
